In 2025 Beyond Innovation Corporation (BIC) continued developing its pioneering coastal inventory—a comprehensive mapping of unpopulated coastal areas, lands, and protected waters along the United States coastline, accessible through a user-friendly interface. Multiple research reports were published throughout the year, covering topics including roadway salt usage impacts, product reuse and repurposing methodologies, and opportunities for scaling sustainable practices.
The organization also prepared reports examining artificial intelligence applications for nonprofit organizations and developed a prototype AI-assisted system for initial grant review, which has been published for public access. Additionally, work continued on the interactive severe weather events map, while microplastics research focused on unintentional consumption pathways. These studies are ongoing, with expanded research planned for 2026. All publications and tools developed by the ORG are freely available to the public. Below are BIC’s 2025 Programs’ descriptions. Each program supports BIC’s mission.
Updates to the coastline inventory and conservancy analysis - Natural habitats designations along the United States coastlines - a first-of-kind Inventory and Report ; and, Coastline Interactive Web Sites
BIC prepared and made available to the public an interactive map of severe weather events in 2023/24 in the United States using data made available by NOAA. This map is easy to use and it helps public visualize locations of reported events
